Roll of Honor for
the
32D ‘Red
Arrow’ Division
|
This Roll of Honor contains the names of one
thousand, four hundred and five Soldiers of the 32D ‘Red Arrow’
Division who died during WWII. This is
only about half of the approximately two thousand, four hundred and thirty-nine
Soldiers who ultimately should be named on this roster.
Unlike
the Division’s WWI Roll of Honor, I have yet to find a comprehensive roster
listing all of the 32D Division Soldiers who sacrificed their lives
during WWII. Names are added to this
list whenever I find them in books, newspaper articles, e-mails
from Veteran’s families, etc. There are
likely more than 2,439 names that belong on this roster because there are
several battles for which I have yet to find definitive casualty numbers,
specifically Saidor, Aitape, Biak, and Morotai.
The roster will be updated periodically, as new information is discovered, and as time permits.

Statistics Bear in mind that these statistics
are not complete, these numbers only reflect what I have identified so
far. For example, I am certain that
many more of the casualties were members of the National Guard, but the
numbers below are only those I have been able to confirm, so far. |
